These ferrets are in a lot of danger, and some foundations are making an effort to save them. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is an example of a foundation that is helping the black-footed ferrets. They are helping them by relocating prairie dogs so that the ferrets don't become overweight. They also are taking the prairie dogs and trying to kill the sylvatic disease that is going around all black tailed prairie dog holes. Also, they are being helped by science and technology by being bred in science labs. Another organization that is trying to save these ferrets is the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). It helps them by saving all the species that rely on prairie dogs for their food. This organization has helped over 100 animals since it has opened.
